A week after the escape of 51 prisoners , the Minister of Justice explained himself and announced the measures taken by the government to prevent such actions in the future . The Minister of Justice announced a plan to extend the prisons in all there islands.
the Minister of Justice highlighted that prisoners took advantage of the day in which was the match of comoros -kenya to escape . He claimed that in 51 prisoners who escaped , only 13 had returned to the prison.
According to him, Bobocha was the only who has committed a terrorist act but the others have were in prison due to minor offences . He reassured that prisoners for rape and criminal acts , are all in prison, and security in prisons has been increased. The Minister of Justice pointed out that, this is due to the the lack of space in prison .
Mohamed Housseine Djamalilail announced that « the government has just validated a project to extend prisons and strengthen theirs security « . According to him, this project focus on the construction of new cells that will meet international standards and respect human rights.
Finally , Mohamed Housseine Djamalilail added that the project provides « training and capacity-building programmes for prison officers and prison security officers ». He announced that funding is already available and « the project will start very soon in Moroni, Koki and Fomboni ».
